Reservation

The check-in time listed for your tour is also your tour time. Tour departures depend on the experience level of all the riders, the weather and other variables. We try to be on the trail as soon as safely possible.

You must call within 15 days ahead of your scheduled tour for a full refund less a $25 processing fee. There are no refunds for cancellations of 14 days or less of your tour, or if you decide not to ride.

Reservations are required for guaranteed spots on all tours. Reservations help us determine the number of guides we need to ensure that our groups remain manageable and enjoyable, and they allow us to notify you of changes to the tour due to weather, construction, or unforeseen occurrences that could disturb the tours.

Tours depart from the trailhead and not our Anchorage office. Even though our scheduled tour trailhead is located within Anchorage borough it is approximately 30 minutes from the office location. If we do not have reservations booked in advance for a specific tour departure there may not be a guide at the trailhead.

Once your reservation is confirmed we will send you detailed instructions to the appropriate trailhead.

All participants for Alaska ATV Adventures Tours are required to be 8 years or older, at least 48 inches high, and weigh 50 pounds or more. All of the Alaska ATV Adventures ATV drivers are required to be 16 years or older, be at least 60 inches high weigh 100 pounds or more, and have the physical strength to operate the ATV in the backcountry. Safety will always come first, should the guide feel that any participant at any point for any reason does not meet safety requirements, that participant will not proceed with the ATV Tour.

Weather

Our most popular tours are located within the northernmost rainforest of Chugach State Park. We ride rain or shine. You will most likely get wet even if it is not raining. 🙂

Please bring your own rain gear if you have it. We do have raincoats and pants are available to borrow if needed. You need to wear long pants, closed-toed shoes and a warm top layer.

You will get dirty on the trip – extra socks and shoes are recommended.

Preparation

Wear comfortable attire. It is recommended to have a sturdy pair of closed toe broken-in trail shoes, boots, or sneakers. It is preferable to dress in layers and wear clothing that will wick away perspiration and keep you dry and comfortable. You will get dirty on the trip. Extra socks and shoes are recommended.
