There was nothing about "ATV" that spoke to me, but I agreed to give it a go. Glad I did -- Bob was a great guide and I learned more about natural history of Alaska than I would expect to in a classroom or museum. The hike at the end of the trail was a total blast, too. Great job!

Absolutely The Best ATV Thrill Ride! This was by far the best ATV adventure We’ve ever had! Starting with Brad who picked us up at the hotel. He was VERY knowledgeable of the area so we felt as though we got a great mini sightseeing tour as a bonus while making our way to base camp to start the ATV ride! After gearing up and getting familiar with the ATVs, off we went! The trail was absolutely thrilling! Not for the faint of heart! We loved the stops along the way to see spawning salmon, waterfalls, mountains, fresh bear tracks and the relic old 1964 Ford Mustang (I may have the year wrong), that some hippies back in the day crashed and left on the woods. Maybe it was “4:20” at the jointin the woods! Smile! We’ve taken ATV rides in Alaska before, and in the North Georgia mountains, Belize, and Dominican Republic when traveling on vacation. Alaska ATV Adventures was the BEST we’ve experienced! Highly recommendbut only if you think strongly that you can handle it. It’s thrilling!read moreread less

Wonderful ATV Adventure We had a wonderful time on this tour. It was my first time on an ATV so I was a little nervous. Our Guide Bob showed me how to use the ATV and we had did a test drive around the parking lot. He had me and two other people who were first time riders up front behind him. The ride was fun! Bumpy, muddy, and wet. We were able to get up to speeds up to 20mph on the trail. The tour included a short hike to a waterfall that was beautiful. We also got a great view of turnagain arm. Bob did a great job of leading the tour and taking pictures and video of us. He searched the hills on his binoculars looking for bears. We didn't see any, but we saw mountain goats and salmon.
Advice- bring dry socks and new shoes. Our feet got wet, like soaked. I wore gloves for better gripping. Be on time. The email states you don't need to show up before 2pm, we ended being like 5 minutes late and everyone was already to go. So just a heads up!

Scenery that never stops Tim took us up to Eklutna Lake for a 4 wheeler ride on June 25th that followed the lake for about 15 miles. Some of us had never ridden 4-wheelers much, but the instructions and the 2-up machines were not hard to learn. We had 3 couples, 2 on each bike, and had a blast! We saw (at a distance) a large bear, and lots of mountain goats all over the place. The weather was clear and warm, which is not usual we understand. It seems the entire southeast Alaska is a rain forest, and the weather actually cooperated. Thanks to our guide, Tim, we had a great time, saw the scenery of a lifteime, and had a great time!!! Thanks again, Tim.read moreread less

So. Much. Fun. One of the highlights of our 18 day trip!
We did the Girdwood tour through the Chugach State Park.
Bob was a fabulous guide and as a local, he knew all the sweet spots.

Our family, all adults, had a great time! Two of us were experienced riders, two had never ridden. With the patient training of our guides, all of us were soon flying down the trails. The scenery was breathtaking. We stopped at a meadow and saw two black bears then hiked to a waterfall where we saw several salmon. We came to a spot where we had to travel on a trail that was covered in 2'+ of water. Our guide grabbed each of our phones and filmed us as we individually 80' water hazard. We all made it through relatively dry. It was loads of fun and if we ever come back we'll definitely do it again!read moreread less

Awesome Awesome Alaskan adventure. Our guide, Bob, helped us to spot a bear on a distant mountain. He took video of our family riding through a big mud puddle and a beautiful picture of our family with a waterfall in the background. The scenery is spectacular. The ATVs and trails are very well maintained. If it is a sunny day, you will go through some water on the trails...but I held my feet up and stayed completely dry. Unlike my boys who chose to get muddy.read moreread less
