Wow!! This ATV tour is super fun! I went on this tour last summer with the bf, my sister and her husband and we had a great time. Not one of us had gone ATVing before, but by the time we were done we were ready to do it again. We went on the 3 hour Girdwood tour, our guide was pretty cool, I feel bad that I don't remember his name, but he was knowledgeable and easy going.
We each had our own ATV and the first 20mins were spent learning the basics: how to change gears, break, turn etc. The trail was great: a good combination of long smooth stretches, almost vertical uphill climbs that you feel like your going to flip backwards, huge puddles, mud, rocks, twists and turns, and even narrow paths on the edge of a cliff. About halfway through the tour we took a hike to one of the waterfalls and stopped for a snack, which was provided, bonus! At that point we were feeling pretty confident in our new found ATVing skills so we pretty much floored it all the way back to the parking lot.
If you're thinking about going on a tour... go a head and book it! Trust me, it's worth every penny and more!! Next time I visit Alaska, I'm definitely doing another tour.

My husband and I came up to Alaska for a week long visit and decided to book an ATV tour on one of the days. It was an absolute blast! We were actually the only two on this particular tour which meant we got to have a lot of fun and got to ask lots of questions of our guide, Bob. Bob was great! He was super knowledgable about the surroundings, Alaska history, and the wildlife, both plant and animal. I had never ridden an ATV prior to this trip, but Bob made sure to go over all safety and operational information, so I felt comfortable prior to heading out, and riding along the trails was so much fun! If you are considering booking a ride with this company, I 100% recommend you do so! We didn't see a whole lot of wildlife when we went out, it was raining a bit, but we did see a bull moose and some salmon. The ride though, and gorgeous views along the way, are absolutely worth every penny. Thank you for showing us a great time!!read moreread less

Tim Cook was an awesome guide. He went way out of his way to get my family worked into his schedule on short notice, and his effort paid dividends. The Bird Creek area scenery was breathtaking, the short hike to check out the salmon in the stream and the waterfall was very cool, but the brown bear we saw on the trail was unbelievable. Our ATV Backcountry Ride was a highlight of our trip for the entire family

Absolutely fun and beautiful way to experience the back country! Our party of 5 (ages 17 to 55) had a fantastic time with Bob as our guide. He helped us create the adventure we were hoping for in a safe, beautiful and exciting environment. We were new to ATV's and Bob was an excellent tutor. He took great photos as well and took us on a hike that was unforgettable. You can tell he's a pro and knows the geography like the back of his hand. We had 2 other people in our group that we got to know which was fun, and they had toured with Bob 4 other times b/c it's just that fun! …read moreread less

5 Stars, with 1 Exception We had a great time riding in the forest. So much fun! We would definitely do this again! The only drawback was that our ride was supposed to be 3 hours. However, our guide took us on a hike down to a river which took over an hour of our ride time. Though the waterfall was beautiful, I was not expecting a climb or a shortened ride. Other than that, it was a good time!read moreread less

Best adventure in Alaska. Bob was phenomenal. Took time to know all of us by name. He had a story for everybody and he’s a wonder photographer. The the setup and tour was about 3 1/2 hours. Be patient in the beginning whether your a novice or pro on an ATV. Highly recommend.read moreread less

Our guide Bob was a blast! Five stars for Bob. He was very patient and helpful teaching first timers how to ride ATV's (we are not). He took good pictures of us and even a video. He is very knowledgeable and a great guide. He spotted a black bear that was at least a mile away.We had a lot of fun. This would be a great trip for first time ATV riders. Only gave four stars because I believe the bird creek tour is a tad bit overpriced for what it is. The actual ride is really not that far and the waterfall is underwhelming. Just being honest.
